Apart from Google+, I also use a few other channels to source and sink curated information to/from the www. The one that's surpassed my expectations by far and could potentially replace G+ for me is Telegram, with a little tweak though.

Telegram launched https://telegra.ph/ not too long ago as a mechanism for publishing content that can then easily be embedded into chats, groups or channels. What would complete the picture for me is a Public Stream of sorts that incorporates posts from the telegra.ph posts of contacts that one follows. It's probably not a big thing to build into Telegram but it's likely something that will turn Telegram into a worthy Google+ replacement.

Telegra.ph is a minimalist publishing tool that allows you to create richly formatted posts and push them to the Web in just a click. Telegraph posts also get beautiful Instant View pages on Telegram.
